Educational Challenges of the Digital World

MedTech Education, Train-the-Trainer and Professional Networking Conference

Date: 7 September 2026

Venue: Wekerle International University

Working languages: Hungarian and English

Application deadline: 1 September 2026

About the Event

TAM CERT, in cooperation with Wekerle International University and the participating consortium partners, invites higher-education professionals, researchers, trainers, lecturers, instructional designers and educational experts to contribute to the conference “Educational Challenges of the Digital World.”

The event is organised in connection with an Erasmus+ KA2 Cooperation Partnership in Higher Education. The project focuses on the development of e-learning and blended-learning materials in the field of medical technology, or MedTech, and the conference forms part of the consortium’s Train-the-Trainer, professional capacity-building and expert-engagement activities.

The project brings together academic and non-academic partners with complementary expertise. As consortium lead, TAM CERT coordinates the initiative and seeks to engage education specialists who can contribute pedagogical knowledge, methodological experience and practical insight to the development and delivery of high-quality MedTech learning materials.

The conference format will create a platform for sharing research, teaching practices and professional experience while building a network of experts who may contribute to the project’s educational, curriculum-development and Train-the-Trainer activities.

Purpose of the Conference

Medical technology is a rapidly developing and interdisciplinary field. Its effective teaching requires the integration of technical, clinical, regulatory and practical knowledge, supported by appropriate digital learning methods.

The conference will explore how e-learning and blended-learning approaches can support MedTech education and how educators, trainers and institutions can respond to the broader challenges created by digital transformation.

The event has five main objectives:

  1. To establish a network of experts interested in future educational and project cooperation.
  2. To present research findings and practical approaches related to digital and blended education.
  3. To gather pedagogical and methodological input for the development of MedTech learning materials.
  4. To identify good practices that can support the project’s Train-the-Trainer activities.
  5. To facilitate knowledge exchange between academic, training, healthcare, technology and professional communities.
